The wanPMC-2SSI adds two serial ports to any platform supporting the PCI Mezzanine bus. Saving a cPCI, PCI or VME slot, the wanPMC-2SSI can reduce backplane PCI or VME traffic.

The wanPMC-2SSI supports four types of software selectable serial interfaces: V.35, X.21, EIA-530 and RS-232. Data rates up to 8 Mbps are accommodated.

Telecommunications system integrators now have an option to reduce both the footprint and cost of connectivity without compromising performance.
