SBE's wanPMC-2T3E3 opens a new era in high-performance, low-cost WAN connectivity solutions for any networking device or system using a data bus architecture based on the PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) standard. The wanPMC-2T3E3 is a dual channel DS3/E3 PMC adapter for use on PCI, CompactPCI and VME carrier platforms. It combines two clear channel DS3 or E3 software selectable interfaces with M13 and C-bit mode capabilities (DS3) on a single PMC slot. The wanPMC-2T3/E3 protocol processing capabilities include HDLC as well as transparent mode. The wanPMC-2T3E3 is a standard PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) that provides full T3 and E3 WAN connectivity by terminating two DS3 or E3 circuits at the adapter card itself. Operating at 44.736 Mbps and 34.368 Mbps respectively, T3 and E3 lines are the most effective and widely used means for providing very high speed data services solutions. The adapter supports HDLC framing, which is defined as part of a wide variety of protocols including Frame Relay, Cisco HDLC, and synchronous Point-to-Point Protocol. |
